Today was the last of Governor Moore's bill signings. I was pleased to see the number of bills that the legislature passed concerning access to care and improving the healthcare workforce. Excitingly, all 11 of my bills have now been officially signed by the Governor. Last week, 2 bills were signed, and today marked the successful signing of the remaining 5.

The Finance Committee had the incredible opportunity to embark on a boat tour to witness firsthand the salvage operation at the collapsed Francis Scott Key Bridge. Words cannot do justice to the sheer magnitude of metal strewn across the Dali. My gratitude goes out to the Coast Guard Reserve, the Maryland Transit Administration, Department of Natural Resources, and all the dedicated individuals tirelessly working on this salvage effort.
Congratulations to the Lindale Middle School Lynx for winning the robotics skills competition for the State of Maryland. I was delighted to hear the stories, watch the videos of the competition, and congratulate the teams for their success. Mr. Hall is a dedicated teacher, and all 66 students in the robotics club love working with him. They have competed successfully, but more importantly, they have learned teamwork, dedication, and communication skills. The future is bright for these talented students. Congratulations, Maryland Champions!
It was truly inspiring to meet the exceptional teachers nominated for Teacher of the Year in our county. Congratulations to all the nominees! A special shoutout to Elizabeth Heist, the outstanding Music teacher at Lake Shore Elementary, for winning the top prize. Our students are truly blessed to have such dedicated educators shaping their minds. It was a pleasure to meet North County High School Principal, Sarah Thomas, and the nominee from NCHS, Morgan Herman, whose dedication to teaching English to Speakers of other languages is truly inspiring. Thank you both for your dedication!
It was truly a pleasure to attend the grand opening of the new Cinnabon store at Concourse B in Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport. Surrounded by esteemed guests like the President of the BWI Business Partnership, Gina Stewart, and welcoming remarks from the Executive Director of BWI Thurgood Marshall, Ricky Smith, and the General Director of the BWI Business Partnership, Faraji Whalen Robinson, the event was a delightful celebration of this sweet addition to the airport experience.
