Dear Friends,

Congratulations to all the seniors and graduates! As you embark on the exciting transition into adulthood, remember that this is just the beginning of a new chapter filled with endless possibilities and opportunities.

SERMA

It was an honor to speak to the State Employee Risk Management Administration (SERMA) and share my insights on the legislative process. I want to express my gratitude to all the State employees who work tirelessly to improve safety and reduce injury for our fellow State employees. A big thank you to Lyndsey Beidle Meninger for inviting me to speak. It was a pleasure to be a part of this important conversation.

Public Health Champion Award

I was honored to receive the Public Health Champion Award by the American Heart Association at their 8th annual Maryland Tobacco Control Conference. It is truly an honor to be recognized for my leadership and dedication to protecting the Clean Indoor Air Act. I am grateful for this acknowledgment and remain committed to making a positive impact on public health!

Scholarship Update

The scholarship committee is still diligently reviewing applications. Delays have been encountered due to Maryland Higher Education Commission’s (MHEC) lag in updating the Maryland College Aid Processing System (MDCAPS) with FASFA information and previous senatorial awards. Rest assured, the committee is working tirelessly to move the process forward. Anticipate exciting news within the upcoming weeks as scholarships are soon to be awarded. Stay tuned for updates!
